In the Kitchen with Catherine McCord @Weelicous
#240 • From fashion show runways to celebrity kitchens, Catherine McCord feels right at home. In celebration of Catherine’s third cookbook The Smoothie Project, debuting December 17, 2019 and already the #1 New Release in Cooking for Kids on Amazon, we cover everything from how she transitioned from Glamour cover model to culinary chef, and how McCord built her company Weelicious after becoming a mother. We myth bust all my smoothie hang ups, like: “What about all the sugar?” and discuss the health benefits for our children. And you won’t want to miss her parenting suggestion for how to shut down that “…but I’m still hungry” bedtime whine. Listen up!

You can connect with Catherine McCord at her websites Weelicious & One Potato, as well on social media with Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook
Catherine McCord, former Victoria's Secret model and founder of healthy-eating destination Weelicious and organic food delivery service One Potato, has amassed a huge following (more than 225k IG followers) and celebrities like Jennifer Garner, Sarah Michelle Gellar & Keri Glassman, RD, swear by her food as medicine approach to healthy tonics.
Her much-anticipated third cookbook, The Smoothie Project (debuting December 17, 2019), is a smoothie bible packed with delicious foolproof recipes. With guidance from top nutritionists, McCord explains how to eat based on your age and details the health benefits of key smoothie ingredients.
A longtime personal passion project of Catherine's, The Smoothie Project was inspired by a challenging health situation with her son. After family doctors couldn't help, she turned to her experience with nutrition for an answer, researching until she discovered a surprisingly simple solution—smoothies. When she started sharing her family's experience and favorite recipes online, she ignited a smoothie movement as people began to see how smoothies can be a force for change in their lives too.

Mastering Back-to-School: Teacher Jennifer Hunt + Dr. Natasha Beck (@Dr.OrganicMommy)
#225 - Dr. Natasha Beck, equipped with a doctorate in clinical pediatric neuropsychology, and teacher Jennifer Hunt, a second generation early childhood educator, help us tackle the home and classroom fronts in order to give our listeners the tools we need to crush this school year!
I have Dr. Natasha Beck (Dr. Organic Mommy) walk me through “the systems” she has in place for her own young family and what a non-chaotic day could look like at our house if we make some simple but deliberate changes in our routine. We tackle everything from getting to school on time, to mastering the school lunch, to transitioning into the late afternoon without backpacks and shoes all over the floor, as well as techniques for soothing that “after-school” attitude. I even toss in a listener question: How a mother can find more patience with her three year-old now that she’s exhausted from a newborn? Cause honestly, who doesn't hope for a little more patience during major transitions.
